This cool cicada is looking for her forever home. A Tosena Albata Cicada, painted from my personal specimen collection, is neat in person. The background is gilded in composition copper leaf with black background on an inverted 6x6 canvas. The cicada is painted from observation using interactive acrylic paint so that the shimmer from the gilded background shines lightly through the delicate wings. A touch of iridescent highlight brings the magic of this piece alive. One of a kind, and a unique addition to any collection.
